A few things about writing:
Being a good writer is entirely dependent on someone saying you are.
Luckily that someone can be anyone, including yourself.
You: “I’m a really excellent writer.”
Them: “Oh really?”
You: “Yes.”
The end.
When you have reached the top of the mountain, you will realize the most important parts are the roots.
I think that statement applies to writing as much as anything.
Writing, literature, words, communication; these are all forms of expression.
What do I want to express?
My ideas.
I could write you a letter to tell you how I feel.
“Bad.”
“Good.”
“Nervous.”
“Excited.”
If we gave meanings to letters, I could literally write you a letter to tell you how I feel.

And “I” doesn’t know who it is without a couple others informing it.
